Woord en Daad Kamwokya

Romans 8:28 reminds us that “in all things God works for the good.” Kamwokya CDC, located in central Kampala, began in 2021 with 100 children and has since grown to support 160 children. As a suburb of Kampala, Kamwokya is densely populated, multicultural, and multi-religious. AMG-Uganda, in partnership with Woord en Daad, strategically ministers to the children, helping them live dignified lives.

Quality education is ensured for sponsored children, with those at the primary level attending KCCA Primary School and Upendo Christian School. PDOs conduct regular school visits to monitor and evaluate the children’s performance and relationships at school.

Spritual growth is endowed to the  children through teaching them the word of God, and counseling and guidance is done to integral to their development. The team maintains a “not out of sight, out of mind” attitude, with PDOs performing regular home visits to pray with the children and connect with their parents.

Parents at Kamwokya CDC participate in a “mushroom project” to empower them economically and provide urban farming skills. This economic empowerment program started in 2022, allowing some parents to cultivate mushrooms from their homes.

We celebrate our children!
