NEEMA Bible Church Celebrating 5 Years

The church celebrated 5 years on Sunday 13th/11/2022.

Testimonies from people who have been part of the church were told, more disciples have been made and the word is understood more and more are serving in the church.

Many people’s lived have been transformed through the Years, the gospel has continued to be preached. This has all been achieved through continual discipleship, mentorship programs and prayer. God has Been so faithful!

Theme: “Giving thanks to God for His love endures forever” 1 Chronicles 16:34.

Pastor’s Speech

We are supposed to be celebrating six years. But we are celebrating five years because the whole of last year we were under lock down because of Covid 19 and we did not come together to have physical gatherings as a church and also, we were unable to celebrate. Therefore, this is fifth thanksgiving celebration but six years of existence.

Remarks 1: Origin

Everybody likes a good origin story, especially when it involves them. Take a look back at how it all began and congratulate members for building the spiritual rock they all sit upon. It all began with two people, that is, me–Alson and Dr. Reuben–the AMG director Uganda while I was still pursuing my degree in Pastoral studies. And then to Steve Gnerich whom Dr. Reuben shared with during AMG pastor’s conference in May 2015.

The team that includes me, Uncle Vincent and Machalious started meeting together once every week to pray for God’s way into this cause that He has put on our hearts from June 2015 to February 2016 when we decided to step out in faith in the village of Kyambazi near Upendo Christian School after finding out the need for a Bible-based teaching church in that area.

We stated as a fellowship in February of 2016, meeting twice every week, that is, Wednesday and Friday for a Bible study from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Because God was in charge, Mr. Kazinda a member in the community when reached by Pastor, he offered his compound to be a meeting place for bible study at no cost. We met every week twice from February to November 2016 for only bible study. We started with four members and by November were fifteen members in the bible study. Out of demand for some members to begin Sunday fellowships, 13^th Nov. 2016 Neema Bible Community Church was born and that was our first Sunday fellowship.

Remark 2

Good morning! Let me start my church anniversary remarks by welcoming each one of you to this very special day in this very special place. Each one of you is a child of the Savior, and it makes my heart swell with love when I remember all the moments, we’ve spent together praising the Lord in prayer and song.

Thank you so much for being a part of this church thanksgiving celebration. It’s hard to believe that another year has passed. The Spirit of the Lord is undeniable. And it’s only through his mercy and grace that Neema Bible Community Church has managed to continue to grow and thrive through tough waters.

As we go forward on this special occasion, let’s lift our voices of thanks to Heaven so that the Heavenly Father can see our hearts and know how much we love Him and rely on him for courage and strength day in and day out. Praise God for all of you and join me in offering a prayer of thanksgiving.

The Lord has been so good to Neema Bible Community Church and days like this remind us of how special and important this body of Christ has become to this community. It wasn’t that long ago when a small group of believers came together to share a vision “to present everyone perfect before God by making disciples of all nations.” in this community and beyond, and here we are still going strong.

Church growth isn’t easy but all of you have proven that it’s hard unless every member of the congregation steps up and fully commits to winning the hearts and minds of those willing to listen to the Word of God. Each year we continue to be blessed with new members. And make no mistake, each and every one of you is a valued member of this church body.

You have proven your commitment and loyalty to the work of the Lord and for that we’ve all been richly blessed. As we worship together this morning let us keep our eyes focused on His glory and all the blessings, He’s seen fit to bestow upon us.

Remark 3

Neema Bible Community Church was founded six years ago. And yet it feels like this body of Christ has praised the Lord together for our entire lives. Never take days like this for granted, for they are gifts from God Himself. The Bible presents us with a mission to reach the lost with the message of salvation and it’s an amazing feeling to have spent the last six years winning the Lost for the Savior in this community and beyond.

Today we give thanks to God for many things. Can you feel the love here? I certainly can. Our love of God and our commitment to His commandments is stronger than ever and today’s church celebration represents the completion of merely six years in a long journey of many years that we will take together.

Remark 4

Today represents a new beginning. This church celebration gives us a chance to not only look back at how far we’ve come as a church community but also to look forward to all the blessings the Lord still holds for us as we continue to do His work.

For those of you who have invested time, energy and financial resources in this church service preparation, be assured that your sacrifices are deeply appreciated and received in love. For your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Please look around you at your brothers and sisters in Christ as we lift each other up in the name of the Lord and sing his praises this morning.

Remark 5

Church growth doesn’t happen by accident. It takes hard work, prayer and commitment. But mostly it takes the Holy blessing of the Lord. That’s exactly why we’re here this morning, to acknowledge that He has richly blessed us over the past year.

I’ve prayed long and hard over the past few weeks in preparation for this sixth anniversary. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes when I think about each one of you here today and remember the moments, we’ve spent together worshiping the Lord Jesus as members of the body of Christ.

Today is a momentous day in the history of this young church. There is so much ahead of us that it makes my heart nearly burst with joy. Let us worship together, pray together, lift up the Lord’s Holy Name in thanksgiving together and bless Him for all the ways He has blessed us.

Remark 6

We’ve overcome so much to reach another church anniversary. I’m thankful to see each one of you today and to have the chance to come together in a spirit of praise to the Holy One. There’s no denying that this church community is a gift from the Lord Himself. In fact, this church is nothing short of a miracle. And yet we all know that the Lord God Almighty is in charge.

Take this moment to turn to the brother or sister in Christ on each side of you and say, “Welcome and praise God for another day living in Salvation!”

Thanks to the people who have stood with us throughout; Dr. Reuben, Steve Gnerich, AMG international, Uncle Vincent, Kyambazi community and its leadership, churches around, leadership and members of this church. Thank you

May the Lord bless us today as we lift our hearts to Heaven and humbly ask him to fill this building with His goodness and mercy.
